Ruth C. Smiley Adams Ball

Ruth C. Smiley Adams Ball, 85, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday August 1, 2012 at her daughter's residence. She was born on June 1, 1927, daughter of the late Chester and Gertie Renner Smiley. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She is survived by one son, Daniel Ball of Louisville, KY.; three daughters, Anna R. Ayscue of Raleigh, NC., Lynda Joan Ball of Louisville, KY., and Constance Davis of Eubank, KY.; one sister, Jewell Ferguson of Cincinnati, OH., nine grandchildren, James Henry Nalley, Richard Baker, Matthew Baker, Ruthanna Joan Carter, Rebecca Beard, Phillip Daniel Ball, Kyle Cowherd, Stephanie Adamczyk, and Van Joseph Ayscue. She was preceded in death by, her first husband Henry Adams, and her second husband, Lewis Ball, her parents, two brothers, Curtis Smiley and Dean Smiley; and three sisters, Letta Miller, Bertha Henry, and Ruby Bunch. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday August 4, 2012 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Patrick Butcher officiating. Burial will be in Goodhope Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Ruth C. Ball will be after 6 PM Friday August 3, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
