David Wesley Ramsey

David Wesley Ramsey, 74, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Friday, August 31, 2012 at Somerwoods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Eubank, Kentucky on April 17, 1938, son of the late Rowen Wesley and Ula Vivian Moore Ramsey. He was a welder and attended Floyd Switch Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Howell Ramsey of Science Hill, four sons, Gary Ramsey and Jerry Ramsey, both of Somerset, Larry Ramsey of Lexington, KY and David Ramsey Jr. of Science Hill, two daughters, Sherry Ramsey of Corbin, KY and Susan Jasper of Somerset, two step children, Michelle Bolin of Somerset and Vernon Barnes of Mt. Victory, two brothers, James Ramsey and Edward Ramsey, both of Indiana, seven sisters, Margaret Padgett of Norwood, OH, Katherine Asberry of Lancaster, KY, Irene Duncan of Versailles, KY, Betty Ramsey of Somerset, Wanda Cummins of Frankfort, KY, Brenda Luttrell of Casey County, KY and Linda Gregory of Science Hill, six grandchildren, four step grandchildren and one step great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Cora Mae Eldridge. A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. David Gambrel and Bro. Johnie Waters officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 10 AM Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
