Jerry Alan LaFavers

Jerry Alan LaFavers, 66, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born in Jabez, Kentucky on October 29, 1945, son of Elsa Walters LaFavers and the late Etsy M. LaFavers. He was a mason for Roberts Bros. and a member of Northside Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Linda Hodge LaFavers, his mother, Elsa Walters LaFavers, one son, Rodney & (Vicki) LaFavers, one daughter, Becky & (Mark) Winstead, all of Science Hill, four sisters, Betty LaFavers of Arlington, WV, Mary Ann Elliott of San Jose, CA, Joyce Copley and Carol LaFavers, both of Somerset, mother-in-law, Shirley Hodge of Science Hill, seven grandchildren, Heather, Andrew, Jenny, Johnathon, Carrie, Kayla and T.J. and five great-grandchildren, Chloe, Callista, Ashton, Wyatt and Bailee. He was preceded in death by his father. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Patrick Butcher officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 AM Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
