Betty Turpin

Betty Turpin, 72, of Fairview Road in Science Hill, passed away Monday, November 5, 2007 in Winchester, Kentucky. She was born in Ansel, Kentucky on May 22, 1935, daughter of the late Jack and Thelma (Wesley) Godbey. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Henry Turpin, one son, Gary Turpin of Winchester, KY, two brothers, William Wesley of Cincinnati, OH and Leon Wesley of Oakdale, TN, one sister, Dolly Wesley of Science Hill, one grandchild, B.J. Turpin, three step grandchildren, Valarie Whitaker, Allen Banks and Aaron Snider, six step great-grandchildren, special friends, Willard and Audrey Gibson and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Thelma Godbey, stepfather, Richard Young, one daughter, Margaret Christine Turpin, one brother, Janis Wesley and two sisters, Clara Pennington and Freeda Wesley. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Friday, November 9, 2007 at Sardis Christian Church with Bro. Charles Lucas, Bro. Lester Randolph and Bro. Greg Powell officiating. Burial will be in Sardis Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
