Bobbie A. Sims

Bobbie A. Sims, 65 of Sims Ridge Road in Kings Mountain, Kentucky, passed away Monday, November 19, 2007 at Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford. He was born in Lincoln County, Kentucky on November 2, 1942, son of Maxine Bitner Sims and the late Roy Sims. He was retired from General Motors as a fork truck driver and a member of Double Springs Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Childers Sims, whom he married on December 12, 1960, his mother, Maxine Sims, three sons, Kenneth Sims of Tampa, FL and Michael Sims and Tony Sims both of Martinsville, IN, one daughter, Tammie Sims Davis of Morrisville, IN, three brothers, Jimmy Dale Sims of Indianapolis, IN and Randy Lane Sims and Danny Lee Sims both of Pond Ridge, KY and ten grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at Double Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Chester Cornett officiating. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Tuesday at the church. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
