Boyd Matthew "Bud" Tucker, Jr.

Boyd Matthew “Bud” Tucker, Jr., age 60, of St. Amant, Louisiana, passed away September 21, 2012 in Houston, Texas. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on December 20, 1951, son of the late Boyd Matthew Tucker and Jean Elaine “Tommy” Jones Tucker. He was a retired educator and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was a graduate of Somerset High School, University of Kentucky and received his PhD in Psychology and Education at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He taught in the Somerset Independent School System and retired from Gables Academy in Baton Rouge. He also formerly owned and operated Golf Zone in Metairie, Louisiana. He is survived by his wife, Rae Ann Tucker, one daughter, Lacey Tucker and one grandson, Kaden Kross Havens of St. Amant, Louisiana. A private family celebration of his life will be held. Public memorials will be held at the First United Methodist Church and Gables Academy in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This obituary is courtesy of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
