Marie T. Smith

Marie T. Smith, 93, of Crab Orchard, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Cumberland Nursing & Rehab. She was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on December 18, 1918, daughter of the late John Wash and Cora Larkin Abbott. She was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Church of Christ. She is survived by one son, Eddie Smith of Somerset, three daughters, Deloris Taylor of Crab Orchard, KY, Effie Mae Todd and Loretta Faye Godbey, both of Stanford, KY, one brother, Shelva Abbott of Florence, KY, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odus Bryan Smith, who died on June 18, 1995, her parents, one son, Harold Smith, one daughter, Carolyn Brown, three brothers, Chester Abbott, Clinton Abbott and Oran Abbott and one sister, Velma Acton. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, October 8, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Curt Herrington officiating. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9 AM Monday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
