Lloyd J. Estes, 73, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Monday, October 8, 2012 at his residence.
He was born in Bridgeport, Indiana on December 2, 1938, son of the late Marshall H. and Lillie M. McPheron Estes. He was a retired postal carrier with the U.S. Postal service. He was a Vietnam and Desert Storm U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and the VFW, Eubank 5358.
He is survived by two sons, Lloyd J. & (Maggie) Estes of Indiana and Thomas W. & (Roxie) Estes of Texas, four daughters, Alicia & (Rob) Meece of Somerset, Maria & (Scott) Horton of Indiana, Patricia & (Brian) Platt of England and Pamela & (Tim) Knowlton of Arizona, one sister, Betty & (Tom) Herron of Noblesville, IN, seventeen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalind M. Higgins Estes, whom he married on April 3, 1969 and who died on December 26, 2005, his parents two brothers in infancy Danny Estes and Lowell James Estes, and one sister, Gladys Baker.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Saturday, October 13, 2012 Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Phil Fisher officiating.
Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday, October 12, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
