Harold Sandidge, 88, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012 at his residence in Eubank.
He was born Nov. 16, 1923 in Clarence, KY to the late George M. and Flonnie Long Sandidge.
Mr. Sandidge owned and operated Sandidge's Store in Eubank for over 50 years, until it was destroyed by arson in January 2006. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. Mr. Sandidge served in the U.S. Army stationed state side in Baltimore, Maryland.
Mr. Sandidge was preceded in death in Nov. 2000 by his wife of 54 years, Faye Price Sandidge, his parents, two brothers: Willard M. Sandidge and Lloyd D. Sandidge.
He is survived by one son, Bruce Sandidge, and one daughter, Jayne (and John) Livesay of Eubank: six grandchildren; Stewart (and Jennifer) Livesay, Houston, Texas; Trampus (and Meredith) Sandidge, Ft. Campbell, KY; A.J. (and Mandy) Sandidge, Kevin (and Stacey) Sandidge, Matt (and Tracey) Livesay, and Jill (and Martin) Wheeldon all of Eubank, and 13 great grandchildren, and two special nephews John (and Ruth Ann) and Jim (and Sallie) Sandidge; also, faithful caregivers: Debbie Walls, Ruby York, and Lee Ann Beach.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Shelby Reynolds officiating.
Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery.
Visitation for Mr. Harold Sandidge will be after 6 PM Tuesday, October 16, 2012.
