William Steven Thorne

William Steven Thorne, 71, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 1, 1941, son of the late Robert and Caroline Palmer-Ostrowski Thorne. He was a retired inventory stock controller with V Mueller and the former owner of Village Grocery. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He is survived by his wife, Carol Dornqwast Thorne of Eubank, three children, Robert Thorne of Eubank, Patricia Mitchell of Lexington and Michael Thorne of New Port Richey, FL, two sisters, Helen Thorne and Eileen Thorne, both of New Port Richey, FL, four grandchildren, Brooke Campbell, Autumn Thorne, Mark Thorne and Ryan Thorne, one niece and four nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM Monday, November 5, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Chaplain Clarence Floyd officiating and military honors by American Legion Post #38. Visitation will be after 4 PM Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
