Betty Lou Sowder

Betty Lou Sowder, 72, of North Maple Street in Somerset, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Corbin, Kentucky on February 4, 1935, daughter of the late Dewey and Nona Hamblin Money. She was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith. She is survived by one daughter, Amy & (Michael) Moore of Indianapolis, IN, five sisters, Oryula Money of Corbin, KY, Wilma Jean & (Otha) Muse of Nashville, TN, Oneeda Carberry of Nancy, Joanna & (John) Engle of Brighton, TN and Helen and (Tommy) Foster of Corbin, KY and two grandchildren, Timothy and Patrick Noble of Indianapolis, IN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Sowder, her parents, one son, Stephen Collins and two brothers, Luther and Bobby Money. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Monday, January 21, 2008 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Bert Hall officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10 AM Monday at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
