Robert "Bob" Acey

Robert "Bob" Franklin Acey, 80, of Highway 1676 in Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born in Casey County, Kentucky on May 21, 1927, son of the late Walter and Tilda Wesley Acey. He was an assistant for Morris & Hislope Funeral Home and attended First Baptist Church of Science Hill. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Massey Acey of Science Hill, whom he married on July 5, 1949, two sons, Paul Acey of Science Hill and Clifton Acey of Somerset, one brother, Jake Acey of Eastern, KY, one sister, Shirley Hodge of Somerset, seven grandchildren, Clifton Lee Acey, Jr., Dennis James Acey, and Amanda Acey, whom he raised and Paul Acey, Jr., Jamie Lynn Acey, Ashly Nicole Perez and Karen Stevens and nine great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Acey, Abbie Powell, Cammie Acey, Emily Acey, Summer Perez, Ethan Acey, Jonathan Stevens, Tyler Stevens and Jo Jo Perez. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Cliford Acey, Harden Acey and Clifton Acey, who died in infancy, four sisters, Viola Locke, Susie Massey and Evalee and Nannie Acey, who both died in infancy and one grandson, Joseph Lee Acey. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Friday, January 25, 2008 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
