Oneida (Muse) Godbey

Oneida Muse Godbey, 89, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Science Hill, passed away Friday, December 14, 2012 at Cottingham Retirement Community in Ohio. She was born in Trimble, Kentucky on July 28, 1923, daughter of the late Charlie and China Epperson Muse. She was a homemaker and a member of Science Hill Church of the Nazarene. Her love of family and church was only surpassed by her love for her Lord and Savior. She is survived by two sons, Timothy J. & (Carolyn) Godbey of Richmond, VA and Terry C. & (Wendy) Godbey of Cincinnati, OH, two brothers, Wilford Muse of Trimble, KY and Winfred Muse of Cincinnati, OH, six grandchildren, Melanie, Kristina, Logan, Tyler, Jeffrey and Jillian and three great-grandchildren, Eli, Nora Anne and Caleb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold D. Godbey, who died on April 24, 1999, her parents and four sisters, Ruth Lowe, Dorothy Hart, Clara Campbell and Mary Dalton. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Science Hill Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Gene Wells officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 6 PM Monday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home and after 9 AM Tuesday at the church. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
