Lena Cox, 90, of Loveless Road in Science Hill, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2008 at her residence.
She was born on July 15, 1917 in West Virginia, to the late Homer J. and Ada Osborn Lefler. She was an Elementary School Cook.
She is survived by one daughter, Dixie & (Frank) Bourne, two grandchildren, Scott Bourne and Julie & (Jeremy) Wallace, two great-grandchildren, Alyana Bourne and Isabel Wallace, four sisters, Virginia Neely, Jesse "Dot" & (Luther) Dick, Edith Campbell, Lucy Lefler, one brother, Homer & (Jewel) Lefler, Jr. and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bishop Cox, her parents, one son, Robert Glen Cox, four sisters, Anna Lee Cloud, Beatrice Lefler, Tina Gregory and Vada Lefler and two brothers, Richard and Harry Lefler.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, February 4, 2008 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Norman Harper officiating.
Burial will be in West Science Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
