Talmadge Irvine, 86, of Irvine Road in Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born in Science Hill, Kentucky on August 27, 1921, son of the late James M. and Odella Eastham Irvine. He was a retired farmer, carpenter and electrician and of the Church of Christ faith. He was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during WWII as a medic.
He is survived by two daughters, Sherri Harness and Cyndi & (Donnie) Pack, both of Science Hill, one brother, Cassius Irvine of Ohio, one sister, Eula Thomas of Illinois, three grandchildren, Jami Harness, Shayla Harness and Haylie Pack, who is due to arrive in May of 2008, one step grandchild, Jessica Pack and one great-grandchild, Caleb Harness.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Mae Vaught Irvine, his parents, three brothers, Reuben and Folger Irvine and Alfred J. Irvine who died in infancy and two sisters, Helen Adams and Stella Campbell.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Thad Eubank officiating.
Burial will be in Grave Hill Cemetery, Mintonville with military honors by American Legion Post #38.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
