Shawn Arthur McKinney

Shawn Arthur McKinney, 36, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on July 26, 1976, son of Jeanne New McKinney and the late Sherman McKinney. Shawn was an Ironworker and crane operator. He loved his family, spending time outdoors fishing, swimming, and playing hard. He was a member of Goodhope Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Floyd McKinney, whom he married on May 22, 2010; his step-children, Josh Coots, Madison Casada, and Mason Casada; his mother, Jeanne McKinney; special family friend, Mark Denney; his brother, Shannon & (Sherry) McKinney; nieces and nephews, Natasha and Chance McKinney and Shianne Wilson; his grandfather, Nobel New. Also surviving, a close cousin and best friend, Charlie Reynolds, and many more friends and relatives who will miss him dearly. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Shelby Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery. Visitation for Shawn Arthur McKinney will be after 11 AM Friday, December 28, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
