Johnny Mack Chappell

Johnny Mack Chappell, 62, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was born in Crab Orchard, Kentucky on June 7, 1950, son of the late John and Alice Buchanan Chappell. He was a factory worker for General Electric. He is survived by one son, John Raymond Chappell, one daughter, Julie Michelle Pomeroy, both of Cincinnati, OH, one brother, Clarence "Buddy" Chappell of Barboursville, KY, three sisters, Mary Lou Sowders and Catherine Dishon, both of Stanford, KY and Fern Godbey of Danville, KY, special friend, Linda Witt of Stanford and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bobbie Chappell and Ronald Chappell and one sister, Ruth Pruitt. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in Epheus Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Monday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
