Lesley William Blevins, 89, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on October 4, 1918, son of the late Shadrach and Lona Burton Blevins. He retired from the State Highway Department and was a farmer. He was a member of Briary Union Church and a World War II veteran.
He is survived by five sons, Denny & (Teresa) Blevins of Marion, Indiana, and Farris & (Fonnie) Blevins, Danny & (Linda) Blevins, Dennis & (Debbie) Blevins and Tommy Blevins all of Eubank, one daughter, Marsha & (Bill) Mounce of Eubank, one brother, Vernon "Doc" Blevins of Eubank, three sisters, Rosa Blumeyer, Ella Hines and Versie Estes all of Eubank, twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Wilma Adell Blevins, whom he married on December 13, 1950, his parents, one brother, Milam Blevins and three sisters, Beatrice Blevins, Gladys Lingel and Zula Ruckel.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, February 9, 2008 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Lester Randolph and Bro. Richard West officiating.
Burial will be in the Pulaski Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #38.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday at the funeral home.
