Edna F. Burkett

Edna F. Burkett, 87, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Faubush, Kentucky on February 8, 1925, daughter of the late Robert Lincoln and Wilda Isabell Garner Tarter. She was a former employee for Hallmark. She is survived by one son, Melborne C. Burkett of Lexington, SC, one granddaughter, two great-grandsons and two sisters, Mae T. Gardner of Somerset and Eva Daulton of Mason, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers and sisters, Wilber, Hobart, Wm. Boyd, Pearlie and Mammie. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Monday, January 14, 2013 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Don Jones officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 10 AM Monday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
