George Robert "Bob" Anderson

George Robert "Bob" Anderson, 70, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Somerwoods Nursing & Rehab. He was born in Science Hill, Kentucky on January 31, 1942, son of the late Bradford Green and Gracie Mae West Anderson. He was a brick and block layer and a member of Norwood Holiness Church. He loved going to church. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Janett Goff Anderson, whom he married on September 15, 1962, two sons, Dennis & (Sherry) Anderson of Somerset and Jon & (Lisa) Anderson of Science Hill, three daughters, Carol & (Randy) Watson of Science Hill, Melissa & (Phil) Slayton of Taylorsville, KY and Michelle & (Matt) Dodrill of Mooresville, IN, one brother, Donald Ray Anderson of Science Hill, two sisters, Bea Wesley of Science Hill and Jean Clines of Rushville, IN, eight grandchildren, Samantha Anderson, Nathaniel & (Katie) Watson, Chestin Watson, Elizabeth Slayton, Kayla Slayton, Tori Dodrill, Hunter Dodrill and Lauren Anderson, one step grandchild, Daniel & (Stephanie) Cothron and one great-grandchild, Jaden Crouch Watson. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Delmar Anderson and Dewey Anderson and three sisters, Dorothy Dunsmore, Ruby Mofield and Della Crow. A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Friday, February 1, 2013 at Norwood Holiness Church with Bro. Chris King officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home and after 10 AM Friday at the church. Donations may be made to the Norwood Holiness Church, The Gideon Memorial Bible Plan or Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
