Ruby McElvain Lewis

Ruby McElvain Lewis, 83, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home with family on Thursday, January 31, 2013. She was born on August 19, 1929, daughter of the late Edward and Elsie Hurst McElvain. She is survived by three sons, Dale & (Diana) Lewis, Randy Lewis and Greg Lewis, all of Science Hill, one daughter, Brenda Lewis Edwards of Elizabethtown, KY, two sisters, Betty Melton of Eubank and Candace Miller of Somerset and one grandson, Caleb Lewis of Moab, UT. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Lewis, whom she married in 1946, her parents, three brothers, James McElvain, Edward McElvain and Michael Lewis and one grandson, James Michael Lewis. A memorial service is being planned for a later date. Donations may be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland for their excellent service to our family. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
