Jimmie Bailey Padgett, 77, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Monday, February 18, 2013 Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky.
He was born in Waynesburg, Kentucky on July 28, 1935, son of the late Hubert and Rosie Adams Padgett. He retired after 30 years as foreman for Continental Can Company in Sharonville, OH, a farmer and owner and operator of Padgett's Lime Hauler. He was a Mason with F & AM Lodge #0204 in Sharonville, Ohio.
He is survived by one son, Kenneth Padgett of Lexington, KY, two daughters, Vicki Polson of Somerset and Debbie Hampton of Waynesburg, KY, two brothers, Roger Padgett of Liberty, KY and Shane & (Kim) Padgett of Waynesburg, KY, three sisters, Joyce & (Robert) Coleman of McKinney, KY, Lucille & (Shelby) Justice of Waynesburg, KY and Eva & (Jack) Hazlett of Stanford, KY, one grandson, Matthew Mounce, special partner, Janice New of Waynesburg, KY and special little buddies, Christopher James and Gracie James.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, David "Tiny" Padgett, Bob Padgett and Arlie Lee Padgett.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Vola Brown officiating.
Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be held after 6 PM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with masonic services at 7 PM.
Pallbearers will be Shane Padgett, Robert Smith, Kenneth Padgett, Leo Slone, Tyrone Taylor and Roger Padgett. Honorary pallbearers will be all his friends and buddies.
