Andrew "Bud" Howson, 90, of West Highway 70 in Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008 at his residence.
He was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on December 1, 1917, son of the late Clyde and Matoka Cornett Howson. He retired from the State Highway Department in 1979 and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
He is survived by two sons, Victor & (Genevieve) Howson of Eubank and Lonnie & (Roxie) Howson of Science Hill, four daughters, Audrey & (Eugene) Kemper of Eubank, Priscilla & (Lonzie) Childers of Somerset, Shirley & (Don) Connors of Somerset and Jeanne & (Jack) Crockett of Richmond, eleven grandchildren, Leroy, Gifford, Rick, Carolyn, Kim, Donna, Teresa, Kenneth, Jeff, Greg and David, twenty two great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, three sisters, Geneva Ashley of Eubank, Evaleen Benevengo of Ohio and Josephine Zimmer of Ohio and one brother, Charles Howson of Falmouth, KY.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Haste Howson, whom he married on October 30, 1935 and who died on January 3, 2004, his parents, one daughter, Freda Howson, one grandson, Don Kemper, three sisters, Jewell Reynolds, Mildred Adkins and Ruth Smith and one brother, Clinton Howson.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with his grandson, Rev. David Crockett officiating.
Burial will be in Eubank Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Monday at the funeral home.
