Carvel T. Meece

Carvel T. Meece, 87, of James Meece Road in Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at Laurel Manor Nursing Home in New Tazwell, Tennessee. He was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on October 5, 1920, son of the late Milford A. and Lula Mae Meece. He was the owner and operator of Hilltop Service Station. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1942 to 1946. He is survived by one brother, Leo Meece of Englewood, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Lester W. Meece, Vernard Meece, Milford Arlie Meece and Donald Meece and four sisters, Ona Meece, Vella M. Dudley, Geneva Tomlinson and Mary Fox. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Bert Hall offiating. Burial will be in White Lily Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
