Brenda Sue (Gossett) Carr

Brenda Sue Gossett Carr, 56, of West Old Norwood Road in Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Nancy, Kentucky on November 1, 1951, daughter of the late Dale Wendel and Anna Mae Munsey Gossett. She was a standardizer for General Electric and a member of Eubank Baptist Church. Brenda was a devout Christian whose close and personal relationship with God and her steadfast belief in Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, has transformed her spirit to be with them now. She is survived by her husband, Edward F. "Rocky" Carr III of Science Hill, three step children, Stephanie Carr Cashman of Ft. Collins, CO, Starr Carr & (David) Baines of Parker, CO and Edward F. "Rocky" IV & (Helen) Montez-Carr, three brothers, Carter & (Pat) Gossett of New Whiteland, IN, Harold Gossett of Science Hill and Jerry Gossett of Somerset, three sisters, Betty & (Ruel) Henderson of Stanford, Shirley & (Charles) Dixon of Science Hill and Janie & (Jerry) Bullock of Somerset and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Buster, their family dog and companion. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Dewey Gossett. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Dr. Harold Brown, Bro. Shelby Reynolds and Rev. Bill Stratton officiating. Burial will be in Hall Family Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Saturday at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy go to God's Food Pantry P.O. Box 259, Somerset, KY 42502. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
