Martha Ellen Mofield

Martha Ellen Gossett Mofield, 69, of Science Hill, Kentucky, wife of Donald E. Mofield, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Martha was born in Poynter, Kentucky on Mary 20, 1943, daughter of the late James W. Gossett and Della Mae Sweet Gossett. She was a devoted follower of her Lord and savior Jesus Christ and long-time member of Jacksonville Baptist Church. Martha was a wife and homemaker, who dearly loved her family. She was a former cook at Northern Middle School. Martha is survived by her husband of 52 years, Donald E. Mofield, one daughter, Elizabeth Mofield Kreimer & (David) of Morrow, OH, two sons, Louie Edward Mofield and Arthur Lee Mofield, both of Science Hill, one brother, Robert Lee Gossett, two sisters, Mary New Gossett & (Paul) and Irene Bounds, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Rick Allen Mofield and Norman Ray Mofield and three brothers, Sherman Gossett, Earl Gossett and Jean Gossett. A funeral service will be held at 3 PM Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. David Bullock officiating. Burial will be in King Bee Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12 Noon Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
