Elsie M. Howard

Elsie M. Howard, 90, of Ferguson, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 17, 1923, daughter of the late Cliff and Lillie Farmer Gilbert. She was a homemaker and a member of Denham Street Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Jackie Howard of Burnside, one daughter, Barbara Pitman of Mt. Vernon, KY and three grandchildren, John Mills, Jamie McNew and Stevie Howard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Howard, whom she married on January 15, 1949 and who passed away on November 13, 1979 and one sister, Flonnie Mounce. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Friday, March 29, 2013 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Ridner officiating. Burial will be in Poplarville Cemetery. Visitation for Elsie M. Howard will be after 12 Noon Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
