Marie Sims

Marie Sims, 81, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013 at Danville Center for Health & Rehab. She was born in Kings Mt., Kentucky on May 3, 1931, daughter of the late William Jesse and Bessie Fredrick Cook. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She is survived by three daughters, Loretta Sue Sims of Frankfort, KY, Rita Nicholson of Lexington, KY and Anita Caudill of Solon, OH, one sister, Alma Faye Padgett Helton of Corbin, KY, five grandchildren, Kevin Caudill, Brian Caudill, Melissa Caudill, Jason Nicholson and Ami Nicholson and two great-grandchildren, Aubrey Caudill and Reagan Caudill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Sims, her parents and two brothers, James Wallace Cook and David Eugene Cook. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Stephens officiating. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12 Noon Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Heritage Hospice. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
