Elwood Wiles

Elwood Wiles, 75, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Monday, June 3, 2013 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born in Shady Grove, Kentucky on December 20, 1937, son of the late Lloyd and Mary Warren Wiles. He was a farmer. He is survived by his wife, Eva Hodge Wiles, whom he married on July 25, 1959, one son, Glen & (Teresa) Wiles of Science Hill, two daughters, Sherry Lynn & (Randall) Anderson of Eubank and Rita C. & (Thomas) Morris of Science Hill, four brothers, Elbert & (Irene) Wiles of Science Hill, O.V. & (Donna) Wiles of Bethelridge, Bob & (Betty) Wiles and Norman & (Joyce) Wiles, both of Science Hill, five sisters, Jerlene Ware of Science Hill, Gertie & (Tommy) Hargis of Eubank, Stella Wesley and Fern & (Raven) Wesley, both of Science Hill and Joyce Haste of the Jacksonville community, seven grandchildren, Crystal Nicole & (Randy) Godsey, Chad & (Marie) Wiles, Deanna Wiles, Trampus Anderson, Travis & (Brittany) Anderson, Trevor Anderson and Ashley Elizabeth Morris and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Elza "Hoss" Wiles and Bluford "Blue" Wiles and brothers-in-law, Jim Haste, Danny Ware and Eldon Wesley. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. James Lowery and Bro. Wayne Watts officiating. Burial will be in King Bee Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 AM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
