Lindburgh "Lindy" Moore

Lindburgh "Lindy" Moore, 84, of Waynesburg, Kentucky passed away Saturday June 22, 2013 at his residence. He was born on February 13, 1929 in Waynesburg, Kentucky, son of the late Boyd & Stella Potter Moore. He was a self-employed mechanic and a manufacturing employee for Whirl-Pool from 1970 until 1992. He was a member of Olive Baptist Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his five grandchildren; David Eldridge, Jason Eldridge, Abbie Harris, Amanda McMullin and Lydia McMullin; three brothers, John Moore, Duff Moore, and Rob Moore, all of Waynesburg, KY; two sisters, Winnie Mullins of North Carolina, and Peggy Wilson of Ohio; seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Hibdon Moore who passed away on March 3, 2010, his parents, and two daughters, Anita Lynn Saylor, and Janice McMullin. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday June 25, 2013 at Olive Baptist Church with Bro. Bert Hall officiating. Burial will be in Olive Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Lindburgh "Lindy" Moore will be after 9 AM Tuesday June 25, 2013 at Olive Baptist Church until time for services. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Heritage Hospice of Danville. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
