John William Barker, 86, of Nancy, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 at his residence.
He was born in the Delmer community on June 28, 1927, son of the late Jessie B. and Annie Crouch Barker. He retired from Cumberland Wood & Chair Co. He enjoyed horse racing and cookouts with family and friends. He attended Sardis Methodist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was united in marriage to Regina Lorene Rogers on July 4, 1947.
He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Donna & (Joe), two sons, Russell & (Linda) and Wayne & (Sherry), four granddaughters and five great-grandchildren, one brother, Terry & (Jean), two sisters, Maxcine Stevens & (James) and Frances Tarter, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Leonard and Jerry and one sister, Emma Jean Mayfield.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, July 22, 2013 at Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Jasper officiating.
Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens with military honors by American Legion Post #38.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Sunday at Pulaski Funeral Home.
