Leon Glass

Leon Glass, 86, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Eubank, Kentucky on June 28, 1927, son of the late William "Will" and Myrtle Roark Glass. He was a retired Oakwood security guard. He was also car man for Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. He is survived by four children, Betty Lou & (Barry) Glass Taylor of Somerset, Danny Lee Glass of Eubank, Janet Nadine & (Linville) Patterson of Kings Mt., KY and Judith Ann Carroll of Stanford, KY, two sisters, Laverne Ford of Cincinnati, OH and Evelyn Ruby Richards of Georgetown, KY, grandchildren, Katie Wayne Taylor, Niki Lou Taylor, Stephanie Patterson, Sonny Patterson, Tyler Glass, Brian Glass, Michelle Carroll, Jason Harville and Jeremiah Harville and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Godby Glass, whom he married on January 11, 1952 and who died on December 29, 2010, his parents, one son, Ricky Leon Glass, brothers and sisters, George Glass, Emma Goble, Susie Cress, Paul Glass, Eugene Glass, Mary Lee Glass, Vivian Glass and two still born infants. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Gordon Chaney officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12:30 PM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
