Harold Lee "Jack" Cooper, 87, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Whitley City, Kentucky on December 21, 1925, son of the late Sidney and Della Godbey Cooper. He was a farmer and attended Bethelridge United Methodist Church. He was a 65 year life-time member of Mt. Gilead Lodge #255 of Science Hill. He was a Master Mason. He is survived by his wife, Lois Wilson Cooper, whom he married on February 14, 1948, three daughters, Jeanne Cooper & (Darrel Story), Joyce & (Mike) Wesley and Glenna & (Keith) Adams, three grandchildren, Kimberlee & (Galen) Brooks, Ben & (Jessica) Adams and Sam & (Melissa) Adams, two great-grandchildren, Luke and Ezra Adams, step great-grandchild, Kailey Brooks, brothers and sisters, Gene & (Zelene) Cooper of Frazier, KY, Ray & (Edna) Cooper of Wheeling, WV, Bill & (Elsie) Cooper of Vaught Ridge, KY and Shirley & (Gordon) Mullins of Elm Grove, LA, sister-in-law, Marie Cooper of Dayton, OH and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Earl Cooper, Ralph Cooper, Lloyd Cooper and Roscoe Cooper and sister-in-law, Mildred Cooper. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Friday, August 9, 2013 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Adams officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Masonic services at 7 PM Thursday. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
