Oma Lee "Missy" Girod

Oma Lee "Missy" Girod, 71, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Virginia on March 20, 1942, daughter of the late Ivel and Thelma Fields Fleenor. She was a retired factory worker for GE. She is survived by one son, Tony Girod of Richmond, KY, one daughter, Wendy & (George) Key of Moreland, KY, special friend, Lucille Justice of Waynesburg, KY, two brothers, Johnny and Tommy, four sisters, Peggy, Becky, Sandy and Kaye, all of Ohio, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Travis Girod, one brother, Bruce and two sisters, Diana and Susie. Visitation will be after 11 AM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Vola Brown officiating. Visitation will be held after 11 AM Tuesday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, 722 S. Washington St., Van Wert, OH. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Convoy, Ohio. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
