Ida Waters, 96, of Floyd Switch Road in Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.
She was born in Ansel, Kentucky on March 24, 1912, daughter of the late Ed and Mary Randolph Dick. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Floyd Switch Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Johnie & (Glenna) Waters of Somerset, Jesse & (Eunice) Waters and Larrie & (Bertha) Waters, both of Cincinnati, OH, two daughters, Mary & (Larry) Black and Beulah & (Ira) McDonald, both of Eubank, twelve grandchildren, Kathy Mounce, Karen Denney, Janet Baker, Lisa Emerson, Tracy Tucker, Scott Waters, Jimmy Black, Sheila Cross, Julie Maynard, Donna Gilispie, Douglas Waters and Tim Waters, twenty great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Stanley Waters, her parents, three brothers, Jack Dick, Columbus Dick and Chester Dick, three sisters, Maxie Rector, Dolly Moore and Delia Moore and a brother and sister, Bertha and Cornelis, who died in infancy.
A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Hail officiating.
Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 10 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
