Ronald Dean Whitis

Ronald Dean Whitis, 62, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on March 4, 1951, son of the late Orville and Mildred Debord Whitis. He was a farmer. He is survived by his wife, Vicki Cameron Whitis, one son, Bill & (April) Whitis of Columbus, IN, four daughters, Tina & (Bill) Smith of Bronston, Michelle & (Chris) Underwood of Eubank and Radonna Whitis and Melody & (Shawn) Stull, both of Somerset, three brothers, Donald Whitis and Glen Whitis, both of Somerset and Jerry Whitis of Columbus, IN, four sisters, Linda Martin of Florida, Vicki Bryant of Somerset, Irene Pitney of Edinburg, IN and Bonnie of Florida, nine grandchildren, Koty, Kristpher, Kyle, Kaysha and Cory Whitis, Dylan Chaplin, Sabrina, Tyler and Bradley Stull and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Larry and Paul Whitis and one sister, Velma Poynter. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Marvin Cromer officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shawn, Tyler, Sabrina and Bradley Stull, Koty, Kristpher, Kyle and Kaysha Whitis. Visitation will be after 11 AM Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the Ronald Dean Whitis Memorial Fund, C/O Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
