Carolyn Jean Brown

Carolyn Jean Brown, 70, of South Richardson Drive in Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on November 9, 1937, daughter of Marie Abbott Smith and the late Odus Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Church of Christ. She loved sewing and quilting. She is survived by her mother, Marie Smith of Somerset, one son, Robert Brown of Somerset, former husband, Noel Brown, one brother, Eddie & (Emma Lee) Smith of Somerset and three sisters, Deloris & (Junior) Taylor of Eubank and Effie Mae Todd and Loretta Faye & (Harold) Godbey, both of Stanford. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Harold Smith. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Arnold Larkin officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday at the funeral home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
