Florence G. Cooper

Florence G. Cooper, 88, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Lynchburg, Virginia on June 16, 1925, daughter of the late Daniel G. and Elgie Mills Golf. She was a cosmetologist for JC Penney. She was a member of Union Church of Christ and the Science Hill Garden Club. She is survived by her husband, Larry E. Cooper of Somerset, one son, Garry Cooper of Dayton, OH, two daughters, Linda Blevins of Ft. Wayne, IN and Ruth Ellis of Dayton, OH, a brother, David Golf of Concord, VA, six grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was beloved by her twenty eight nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Susan Shoop, five brothers and four sisters. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Friday, October 25, 2013 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Ponder officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 AM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
