Marjorie Bernice Vaught Price, 87, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Cumberland Nursing & Rehabilitation. She was born in Arrowsmith, Illinois on September 2, 1926, daughter of the late Sam and Helen Doolin Vaught. She was a faithful member of Nelson Valley Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School. She was a member of the McKinney Homemakers club, Pulaski County Republican women's club and the Pulaski County Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also known to many as the Avon Lady for some 35 years until her health declined. She is survived by one son, Gary & (Barbie) Price of Somerset, two daughters, Brenda Taylor of Eubank and Connie & (Keith) Lawson of Somerset, three brothers, Creston & (Pauline) Vaught of Somerset, James Vaught of Kettering, OH and Donald & (Joyce) Vaught of Waynesburg, two sisters, Virginia Spears and Midge & (Bill) Dye, both of Somerset, sister-in-law, Janet Vaught of Springboro, OH, six grandchildren, Wayne & (Mona) Taylor of Somerset, Scott Taylor of Somerset, Gary R. Price of Belleville, IL, Sherry & (Robert) Lenhardt of Somerset, Cody S. Casada of Somerset and Sydney Lawson of Somerset, seven great-grandchildren, Jordan Taylor, Lance Price, Layne Price, Tristan Williams, Quinton Sharp, Lily Price and Brendon Casada and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all, her quick wit, smile and sense of humor always made those around her feel at ease. She welcomed friends and family often to her home to enjoy her home cooked meals. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. "Jim" Price, whom she married on April 16, 1946 and who died on November 5, 2012, her parents, brother, Sam Vaught Jr., son-in-law, Donald Taylor, sister-in-law, Evelyn Vaught and brothers-in-law, Vernon Spears and Roger Rimer. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Grant Hardwick and Bro. Steve Meece officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 5 PM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
