Jesse Jacobs

Jesse Jacobs, age 85, of Waynesburg, Kentucky having made peace with his Lord & Savior went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Ephraim McDowell Medical Center. He was born on June 21, 1928, son of the late Richard and Irene Leigh Jacobs. He retired from Norfolk Southern Rail Road. He is survived by nine children, Barbara Jean & (Kenneth) Smiley of Cerulean, KY, Phillip & (Yvonida) Jacobs of Kings Mountain, KY, Jack & (Sara) Jacobs of Waynesburg, KY, Juanita & (Carl) Cornett of Brooksfield, FL, Marlene & (Hessel) Dijkstra of Maricopa, AZ, Wanda & (David) McGhee of Cadiz, KY, Jesse Tucker & (Jacqueline) Jacobs of Waynesburg, KY, and Martha & (Paul) Estes of Kings Mountain, KY; three sisters, Connie Bradshaw of Harrodsburg, KY, Phyllis Smith of Lexington, KY, and Opal Carter of Covington, KY; twenty seven grandchildren, thirty nine great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Malcom Jacobs; and several brothers and sisters. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Monday, January 13, 2014 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Vola Brown officiating. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Jesse Jacobs will be after 12 Noon Monday, January 13, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
