Joe Russell Cash

Joe Russell Cash, 86, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Somerwoods Nursing & Rehab. He was born in Buncombe, Kentucky on August 22, 1927, son of the late Jack and Winnie Jones Cash. He was a retired machinist for KY Frame & Lumber, a farmer, and a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Floyd Switch Baptist Church. He is survived by three sons, Harold & (Diana) Cash of Somerset, David & (Kera) Cash and Gerald & (Tammy) Cash, both of Eubank; three sisters, Edna Blevins of Eubank, Alberta & (Richard) Lowe of Campbellsville, and Nannie Marie & (Don) Dick of Acton, IN; ten grandchildren, Scott & (Shelly ) Cash, Elizabeth & (Brady) Anderson, Ryan & (Rebecca) Cash, Shawnte & (Eric) Williams, Dustin & (Hazel) Cash, Sarah & (Tim) Kobie, Wile Kraft, Heather & (Tyrel) Todd, Meranda & (Darin) Jones, and Whitney Cash; thirteen great-grandchildren, Rayse Cash, Kamden Cash, Weston Hatfield, Gabriella Anderson, Hayden Anderson, Andrew Cash, Logan Cash, Brogan Williams, Tanner Williams, Jacob Todd, Caleb Todd, Mason Todd, and Kaydence Jones. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eudena Sowder Cash, whom he married on January 7, 1951 and who died on March 21, 2000; his parents; a granddaughter, Meganne Cash; three brothers, Ernest "Pete" Cash, Raymond Cash, Louie Cash, and two infant brothers. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Lowe officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday, January 31, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
