Betty McKinney

Betty McKinney, 65, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 surrounded by family and friends. She was born in King Bee, Kentucky on March 7, 1948, daughter of the late Hoy and Hazel Warren Mofield. She was a housekeeper for 36 years and 33 years for the Science Hill Post Office. She attended West Science Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by two granddaughters, Brittany McKinney and Keshia McKinney and a great-grandson, Kaiden Allen Ellis. She is also survived by two brothers, Roy & (Donna) Mofield of Eubank and Coy & (Betty Sue) Mofield of Science Hill, one sister, Flonnie & (Eddie) Dye of Nancy and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, James Allen McKinney and special companion, Don Robinson. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday, February 14, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. T.J. Godby officiating. Burial will be in King Bee Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. The family wants to say a special "Thank You" to Hospice of Lake Cumberland and Donna Godbey for taking such good care of her during her illness.
