Larry Wayne VanHook

Larry Wayne VanHook, 67, of Eubank, Kentucky passed away Friday, March 14, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born on March 14, 1947 in Eubank, Kentucky, son of the late Vola E. and Doris Benge VanHook.  He played basketball for Eubank High School and was a graduate of UK with a degree in forestry.  He was an aircraft mechanic in the U.S. Air Force and spent several years in Pulaski County in the lumber business.   He is survived by his daughter, Annalisa VanHook & (James Yoshii) of Oakland, CA.; three siblings, Doris Jean VanHook Correll, Lois VanHook Sharpe, and Deborah VanHook; sister-in-law, Janie VanHook; former spouse, Carolyn Singleton Lugus; and long term partner, Wanda Guinn. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Eddie VanHook. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Dale Robins officiating. Burial will be in White Lily Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 PM Monday, March 17, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
