Edna M. Ferguson Guthrie, 81, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland, Jean Waddle Care Center.
She was born in Albany, Kentucky on March 1, 1933, daughter of the late Leonard and Flossie Moreland Ferguson. She was a homemaker and a member of Science Hill United Methodist Church. She was an avid UK basketball fan.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Gene Guthrie, two sons, Ronnie & (Shirley) Guthrie of Eubank and Rick & (Barb) Guthrie of Somerset, one daughter, Lecia & (Terry) Ross of Eubank, grandchildren, Ryan & (Brittany) Guthrie, Aaron & (Chasiti) Ross, Samantha Ross & (Chuck Martin), Adam Ross and Sean Ross, great-grandchildren, Rilee Ross, Knox Guthrie, Olysn Guthrie and Emma Martin and one brother, Leon & (Louise) Ferguson of Woodburn, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Martha Sue Guthrie, who died in infancy, three brothers, Hoyle Ferguson, Johnny Ferguson and James Ferguson, three sisters, Mary Riddle, Geneva Conner and Grace Goodman and grandson, Nathan Gene Guthrie.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. David Green and Bro. Paul Cropper officiating.
Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
