Dean A. "Pud" Floyd

Dean A. "Pud" Floyd, departed this life on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at his residence. Dean was born on July 13, 1930 in Estesburg, Kentucky to the late Walter and Lela Griffin Floyd. He married Virginia Baugh in Rossville, Georgia on February 25, 1950.  They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary this year. Dean and Virginia were blessed with three children.  Dean was a school bus driver for nine years for the Pulaski County School System in the 60's. He was a dairy farmer for over fifty years.  He was also a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Estesburg Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; their daughter, Vickie Floyd Livesay; and their son, Joe (Maribel), both of Eubank; their daughter, Kathy (John) Isaacs of Louisville, KY; his brother Windell (Grace) of Somerset; his brother,  Carl (Gayle) of Foley, AL; his sister, Doris Decker of Somerset; his sister, Doretta (Ray) Meece of Eubank; four grandchildren, Melanie (Miles) Phelps of Lexington, KY; LouAnn (Franz) Petzold; Johnny (Shelly) Isaacs; Samuel Isaacs all of Louisville, KY; one step granddaughter, Lisa (Brock) Lloyd of Louisville, KY; three great-grandchildren, Penielle Phelps, Nikolas and Hannes Petzold; three step great-grandchildren, Rebekah, Michaela and Olivia Lloyd; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Dean is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Roy Thomas Floyd and Walter Floyd, Jr. and his sister, Mildred Floyd Wilmott. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Griffin officiating. Burial will be in Goodhope Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 PM Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
