Jesse Benge

  Jesse Benge, 69, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born in Oil Center, Kentucky on February 16, 1945, son of the late Homer and Maudie Perkins Benge.  In the past he was an employee of Twigg Industries of Indiana and Kingsford Charcoal.  Later in life he was a farmer and livestock buyer.  He was a Vietnam veteran. He leaves behind his wife of forty-six years, Deva Vaught Benge, his daughter, Janna Benge Wiley, a grandson, Andrew Wiley, a granddaughter, Samantha Wiley, one brother, James & (Diane) Benge of Nancy and two sisters, Thelma Meyers of Indiana and Millie Denham of Somerset. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Jesse Brian Benge, who passed away June 23, 1991, two brothers, Wilbur Benge and Willard Benge and a sister, Wilma Griffith. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Patrick Butcher officiating. Burial will be in Vaught Ridge Cemetery.There will be no visitation. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
