Linda Irvine Phelps

Linda Irvine Phelps, 66, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on July 4, 1947, daughter of the late Esker and Ruby Hall Irvine.  She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She is survived by three sons, Dennis Phelps of Eubank and Larry & (Lesa) Phelps and Michael Phelps, both of Somerset, two sisters, Reva Vaughn of West Chester, Ohio and Bernice Smith of Science Hill and five grandchildren, Eric Phelps, Kimberly Phelps, Anthony Phelps and Whitney Phelps and Destiney Phelps, who are twins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Phelps, whom she married on September 6, 1963 and who died on March 9, 1996, her parents and her twin sister, Brenda Meyer. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Bullock and Bro. Slade Moore officiating. Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 PM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
