Preston "Pete" Vaught

Preston "Pete" Vaught, 80, of Science Hill, Kentucky passed away Friday, May 2, 2014 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.He was born on December 9, 1933, son of the late Cecil and Bessie West Vaught. He was a farmer and an Army veteran. He is survived by three daughters, Donna Diane Vaught-Moore of Eubank, Sheila Lynn Deaton of Chattanooga, TN, and Tammy Kaye Brooks of Rushville, IN; a sister, Wanda Hurley of Science Hill; four grandchildren, Jamie Davidson, Shannon Davidson, Christina Humphrey, and Tyler Moore; six great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Christine Mofield Vaught of Rushville, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Marvin Vaught; two sisters, Mae Tarter, and Eula West; and one grandchild, JaDonna Nicole Mink. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. David Eastham officiating.Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.Visitation for Mr. Preston "Pete" Vaught will be after 12 noon Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
