Doris Sue Burch

Doris Sue Burch, 75, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2008 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born in Kodak, Kentucky on October 25, 1932, daughter of the late James and Dorothy Daniels Richardson. She retired as manager for Goldblatt and a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Audley Burch of Science Hill, one son, Rodney & (Debra) Burch of Stevensville, MI, one grandson, Jonathan J. Burch of Stevensville, MI, four sisters, Billie Combs of Detroit, MI, Pat Owens of Middleburg, OH, Jacqueline Mattingly of Radcliff, KY and Georgine Yates of Greasy Creek, KY and one brother, Johnny Richardson of Greasy Creek, KY. She is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. She will be greatly missed. A special thank you to Hospice of Lake Cumberland and her caregivers. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Mary Estep and one brother, James R. Richardson. A funeral service will be held at 7:30 PM Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Chaplain David Green officiating. Visitation will be after 5 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday at Burch Cemetery in Sturgeon, KY. Burial will be in Burch Cemetery. Donations may be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
