Onie K. Smith

Onie K. Smith, 80, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on January 22, 1934, daughter of the late Cicero and Elizabeth Brown Littrell. She was a comptroller for U.S. Playing Card Company in Norwood, Ohio and of the Church of Christ faith. She was a graduate of Eubank High School, class of 1951. She is survived by one son, Kenneth & (Loretta) Smith of Somerset, three sisters, Audrey Harper of Cincinnati, OH, Lena Eubank of Spring City, TN and Phyllis Owens of Cincinnati, OH, one grandson, Thomas & (Jennifer) Smith of Burnside, granddaughter-in-law, Amber Smith, five great-grandchildren, Kristyn Smith, Kyle Smith, Sarah Williams, Cathryn Williams and Nataly Smith, nieces and nephews, Ralph & (Shirley) Harper, Tim & (Teri) Eubank, Deborah & (Jim) Hampton, Robert & (Polly) Lyons, Lisa Lyons and Melissa & (Bill) Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Noel J. Smith, whom she married on January 17, 1950 and who died on April 30, 1998, her parents, one brother, Venson Littrell, one grandson, Kyle Smith, one great-granddaughter, Keisha Smith, brothers-in-law, Ted Harper, Doug Eubank and Ken Owens, niece, Kim McKeehan and nephew-in-law, Red McKeehan. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Gerald Carter officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1 PM Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
